Antonov An-225 Mriya
The Antonov An-225 Mriya was the world’s largest cargo aircraft, designed by the Ukrainian Antonov Design Bureau. Built to transport oversized cargo, it featured six engines, a massive wingspan of 88.4 meters (290 feet), and a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tons. Originally created to carry the Soviet space shuttle Buran, it later specialized in heavy-lift operations, capable of carrying up to 250 tons of cargo. Known for its record-breaking feats, the Mriya was a marvel of aviation engineering and an icon of aeronautical history.
